“I’ve always been drawn to the colours of nature around us and how that can inform my work. Learning to paint with my Dad, he used to show me that we can always be inspired by the land around us and our connection to it. There is something so special about the cloud and colours in the sky never once being the exact same. This piece aims to depict the movement and colour of the sky and moments just before the sun sets in my memory. I also felt that this was a nice move on from my first collaboration with Sol Seekers and the depiction of a different time of day throwing a different palette into our skies at Morning Light, Mpampaintji Pintjamu.”
